Uterine Artery Embolization in Tanzania: A Procedure with Major Public Health Implications

Introduction: The burden of uterine fibroids in sub-Saharan Africa is substantial with up to 80% black women harboring them their lifetime. With few treatment options currently available the region, this study explores potential role artery embolization (UAE) as an alternative surgery.
